Compass Advocacy Network

Compass is a user led advocacy project for adults labeled with learning disabilities. The project promotes speaking up by sharing experiences, advice, information and training to improve the quality of life of its members. Compass is based in Ballymoney, County Antrim, Northern Ireland and currently has self advocacy groups in Ballymoney, Coleraine, Ballycastle, and Londonderry.

Disability Action

Disability Action works to ensure that people with disabilities attain their full rights as citizens, by supporting inclusion, influencing Government policy and changing attitudes in partnership with disabled people. The organisation offers a variety of service and projects to disabled people.

Mencap

Mencap is the UK's leading learning disability charity working with people with a learning disability and their families and carers. Mencap in Northern Ireland offers information, support and a range of services for children, young people and adults with a learning disability and their families and carers. Mencap also campaigns for choice, opportunity and respect for people with a learning disability and their families.

MyGroupNI

MyGroupNI offers a rapid and simple mechanism via which local communities of interest that are currently digitally excluded can participate in the emerging digital environment (including Web, WebTV, Web Radio and mobile devices) and will thereby improve digital inclusion across Northern Ireland.

South Eastern Education & Library Board

All public libraries in Northern Ireland provide computers with free internet access for library members. There is no charge for joining the library – just bring along some form of identification which includes your name and address. You can also use the free Online Library at the library website www.ni-libraries.net which includes a wide range of reference materials.
